Have you noticed our new trees?  You might have missed them  because they were planted after their leaves had already fallen!  We are VERY thankful to the Kitchener and Waterloo Community   Foundation for a grant of $3,000 which has allowed us to add six new trees to our school yard.  John’s Nursery planted the trees in October.  Three trees have been planted near the ship climber with hopes they will grow big and tall to provide shade for the structure.  Three  additional trees have been planted near the sand boxes.  The funds have also paid for the tree on the top of the hill in the Primary/ Kindergarten area and we will have funds to purchase mulch in the spring to help these trees grow and thrive.  We may need help from families next spring/summer to ensure our new trees are well watered.
